September and October 2020
The majority of our education, and information we share related to essential oils and other non toxic wellness topics are found in our social media group, Lifescaping Oilers. Even though we provide a few highlights of what we covered this month here, for more education and an insight of how we use these products, please join our free community.
EO for Animals
We provided some education regarding essential oils created specifically for animals.
This included information on products that are used to cleanse and soothe the skin, provide emotional support (feeling nervous happens to fur babies too) and details about a non toxic animal shampoo. Oils that are useful for outdoor adventures and training were also mentioned, as well as the Animal Scents Ointment used to protect your pet’s skin, and it so happens that I use it for my skin too. My skin loves this vegan formula.
The Animal Scents line of products is very popular, so be warned, they go out of stock easily. But once you get your hands on them you’ll quickly learn a little goes a long way.
Pumpkin Spice Thieves Cleaner
You hear Pumpkin Spice mentioned regularly one way or another at this time of year. So, here’s another recipe that is well loved among oily fans. It’s so easy to put together, and all these oils are found in our own kitchen for everyday cooking. Get the most from your oils – they have multiple uses. Enjoy!
In a 16 oz glass spray bottle add the following and fill the rest with distill water, shaking well before use:
- + 2 capfuls Thieves Cleaner
- + 10 drops Orange
- + 5 drops Cinnamon Bark
- + 2 drops Clove
- + 2 drops Nutmeg
- + 2 drops Ginger
Here’s another tip: You can also add these oils to your bottle of Thieves foaming hand soap. Safe, plant-based cleaning products that smell warming and fabulous! Yes, please!
Air quality is so important and you can help it by diffusing!
Keep those diffusers going, friends! This was shared by a friend who checked her air quality when she woke up during the devastating fires, then again an hour later after diffusing Raven and Lemon. Pretty incredible, isn’t it?
We then noted multiple essential oils that are known to help with the respiratory system.
After a couple of hours outside in the wind with my girls and no sign of the sun, I thought it was the perfect time to have our first warm orange & apple cider drink this autumn. I’ve posted recipes in years past, but this time it was a few drops here and a few drops there. Still delicious!!!

Our little ones are so precious and as moms we tend to always put them first. Well now, those new to essential oils have the opportunity to put them first again with this BRAND NEW LITTLE OILERS STARTER KIT!!!!
This comes with a Feather the Owl diffuser, which also has a nightlight and sound machine, a set of 5ml bottles of Sleepyize, Owie, Geneyus, Sniffleease, and Tummygize and two roller fitments to pop on any oil you want for easy application! All my girls LOVE all of these!!
GENEYUS – Let’s call this one focus in a bottle. This oil is a game changer for anyone that has trouble focusing on one task! This is a great one to roller on the back of the neck (brain stem) before school work! Throw a few rolls on a leather bracelet or necklace, apply a bit to wrists when you really need to concentrate.
SNIFFLEEASE – Looove this on little chests and backs! Full of powerful oils like Eucalyptus blue, Palo santo, Lavender, Dorado Azul, Ravintsara, Myrtle, Eucalyptus Globulus, Marjoram, Pine, Eucalyptus Citriodora, Cypress, Eucalyptus Radiata, Black spruce and Peppermint oils, this is so so needed during the fall and winter to make little lungs happy! Remember how we talk about how much we LOVE those tree oils? YUP. Full of ‘em!
TUMMYGIZE – Leave this one out where the kids can grab it whenever they need it. It’s so beautiful to teach them to be in tune with their bodies needs! A swipe on the belly will help pretty much any issue feel better! A blend of Spearmint, Peppermint, Tangerine, Fennel, Anise, Ginger, and Cardamom, TummyGize is the perfect relaxing blend for massaging onto little tummies. This one is GREAT for long car rides and tummy upsets!
SLEEPYIZE – This relaxing bedtime (or anytime!) blend is so beloved for all ages! SleepyIze contains a beautiful combination of Lavender, Geranium, Roman Chamomile, Tangerine, Bergamot, and Sacred Frankincense, as well as sleepytime favorites Valerian and Rue! I cannot tell you how much we adore this blend in our little ones’ diffusers at night, and rolled on to undersides of their big toes and down the spine. Perfect for nighttime bonding and snuggles, you are going to LOVE it!!
OWIE – For allllll the boo-boos!!!! Another one to leave out where the kids can easily grab it when needed! It’s formulated with Tea Tree, Elemi, and other oils which are gentle and perfect for the skin, so keep this one handy for application whenever your little one needs some extra love and care.
And don’t get me started on all the children’s essential oils (KidScents) now being available in a roller ball collection.
